You’d be hardpressed to find someone who doesn’t own a lot of pairs of shoes. We have them for different outfits, different occasions, and even different moods. We usually have a few pairs we like to wear, often to the detriment of our aching feet.

We’ve all been at that fancy dress function and made the mistake of taking off our shoes, only to have to carry them home and trounce around in stocking feet because even Cinderella’s step-mother could not wedge our feet back in.
When your shoes cause pain and discomfort, it’s a distraction as well and painful. When they cause a lot of pain or blisters, it can be several days before you are able to be comfortable again.

The best cure is prevention. Drink plenty of water, reduce the amount of sodium in your diet, stay active and if needed, elevate your feet at night. Wear proper fitting comfortable shoes and only wear your fancy ones when you’re going out.
We should treat our feet with the same respect we do as our teeth or hair. Wearing shoes that make our feet happy make us happy. No one expects you to plod around in crocs all day, but there is a reason people wear them.
